ELVIRA

Elvira was first published in 1991 in paperback by Omnibus Books (Australia), and then in hardback. In 1994 Elvira was re-published by Ashton Scholastic (Great Britain), and also distributed in New Zealand. Televised readings were conducted by the BBC U.K.-wide in the same year.

In 1993 Elvira was published by Ticknor & Fields, a Houghton Mifflin Company (U.S.A.) in hardback and paperback, with a re-designed cover. Elvira was an American Bookseller Pick-of-the-Lists, and an IRA-CBC Children's Choice. A televised reading was conducted on Storytime (U.S.A.) in 1996.

GULLIBLE'S TROUBLES

Gullible's Troubles was first published in 1998 by Houghton Mifflin Company (U.S.A.) in hardback and paperback, and was subsequently published by Froebel Media Company in Korea. Gullible's Troubles is available at amazon.com and in the U.S.A.

THE RED WOLF

The Red Wolf was published in 2002 by Houghton Mifflin Company (U.S.A) in hardback and paperback. The Red Wolf is available as a Kindle edition and as a hardback and paperback at amazon.com, and in the U.S.A.

WALDOLAND

Self-published in 2014, Waldoland is an A5-sized 40-page photocopied comic/graphic story. I made this book as an experiment in storytelling - I wanted to see what would happen if I refused to let the story form itself ahead of time, and instead treated each drawing day as a fresh start where anything could happen. Like life. Mostly, I drew a page a day (there is one illustration per page). This method resulted in a story you could see as very deep, or as completely pointless. I like to think of it as a bit of both. Waldoland is available from me for NZ$10 plus p&p, and also from Solander Gallery in Wellington NZ, and will be in various comics and zine outlets I hope - keep your eye out if you're interested.

UTOPIA NOW Vol.1

Utopia Now: Vol.1 was self-published in 2007 as a mini-comic. It won the "Eric" award for Art at the New Zealand Comics Awards in 2010. I always hoped to complete four more volumes of this story, I still intend to, but I'm no longer making any predictions on that score!
